Terrible service. Ended up leaving because waitress completely ignored us, no menus, no acknowledgement, nothing. Very strange. Too bad. We really were looking forward to the food.
MoreWe stopped here after a day trip to Port Townsend and also on a recommendation from a local friend. Our server was very friendly and even joked with us a little. Would highly recommend the whiskey seafood bisque!!! Great place for fish and chips if you enjoy that!
MoreTo bad they don't tell you in advance that everything is deep fried. Would have gone somewhere else for scallops if we had known. Ruined the scallops with lots of batter. Sorry, wasn't our healthy kind of seafood meal. Onion rings were so so. Good service though. Bisque was very good.
MoreLove the Caribbean seafood stew! 😍 Have to stop here whenever I'm in the area!
MoreNot only was the seafood good, but so was the burgers. Enjoyed the local beer with the meal too. Not fancy, but a nice casual place with a wide variety of menu items and good service. Remember it closes at 8Update on March 2020 they are now closed!
MoreGood food! While visiting Discovery Bay, my family and I were looking for a local gem. We definitely found one in this place! As clam chowder lovers, we approve of this option (I personally would put it in my top 3 ever!) the fish “tacos” are really burritos with epically sized fish fillets inside. The flavor is great, too! It truly is a hole-in-the-wall, but totally worth the try! Lots of fried food, but you can ask what’s available grilled. The only thing we were sad about was the lack of seafood bisque (they didn’t have any left). Great food, great staff... give it a shot!
MoreThis is my favorite restaurant on the Peninsula. Their seafood soup is wonderful...just an all around great find!
MoreDouble cod fillet burger was excellent, upgraded the side to a premium of bacon gorgonzola fries and they too were fantastic.
MoreI rate by a combination of: Quality, Quantity, and Cost, with a lesser input on ambiance as this can be more subjective.*- Quality: I have rarely been the least disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. Fresh and cooked by someone who knows how to cook seafood. - Quantity: The portions are filling, I’ve never left hungry. - Cost: I’m on a budget and can get a variety of meals for $11 to $16 which is very good for any filling, full meal. Budget Friendly for sure.* Ambiance: I’ve eaten at fine restaurants with unusual and interesting decor and dingy back street places that served an eclectic crowd in cafeteria style, both earning 5 stars because I remembered them as interesting. Scampi’s is in an older trailer made into restaurant. It has a large local crowd, one of only a few eateries in the Hadlock/Irondale area and You wouldn’t suspect the food would be so good. Ambiance 5 Stars!
MoreWe've loved this place for years but it appears to have gone out of business. So sad.
MoreService was fine. Menu was okay. I liked that I could order certain numbers of scallops. I hate when I order scallops and there are only six on the plate. The regular fries were good. The sweet potato fries were truly awful. Not a place I would eat at again.
MoreHuge portions at "how can they do that?" Low prices. I had the two cod pieces 8 oysters and bottomless root beer float for under 20 bucks!!! The awards on the wall aren't smoke and mirrors!!! The food really is that good !! And a huge menu, With good Alcoholic beverage selection as well... This is my new "spoil the family" spot!!!
MoreWhen someone wants seafood or diner food in this area we recommend Scampi and Halibuts. It isn't decorated fancy, but the food is always very good and the prices and variety are also very good. We have seen people order and enjoy the non-seafood, but we seem to always order seafood. My wife is not into fried seafood, so she alternates between the Alaskan Coho Salmon Fillet and Yellow Fin Ahi Tuna dinners, which are both $20.99 and come with two sides and dessert. They have a large collection of sides, which include huge salads and their wonderful Coconut Almond Rice. I normally get one of their combo plates, like prawns and cod. Their milkshakes are also good and if you order a blackberry shake they try to use a blackberry colored glass. It is not gourmet food but we come back over and over, including twice in our last stay in the area.
MoreThis is a casual little spot . I had the captains platter and at the table was also some onion rings, sweet potato fries and other battered and fried fish. If your looking for some grilled fish this not your spot. The food is good but it is all fried. Our server was super nice although she was a new employee she knew the menu. I would probably eat this place for lunch next time and not a dinner. We went there on a recommendation but we were thinking it was going to be a little more up scale. Like I said casual, nice and good food.
MoreThere were 4 of us in our party, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I've read that they've closed since our visit there, sad to hear that. We were looking forward to returning.
MoreJust a small hole in the wall place but the food is awesome. Fresh fish and seafood and a selection of beef, pork and sandwiches for those who don't eat fish and seafood. Their Crab and Whiskey bisque is the best and their Clam Chowder can't be beat but their signature dish is a Caribbean Fish Stew I get the half portion and have at least two meals from it. Look forward to eating here every time we're in town.
MorePerfect for what is. Great fried foods hit the spot.
Unfortunately they had to close after one of the owners passed. It was the best seafood for Miles.
MoreVery tiny place with the best fish, very fresh and tasted great. I will be coming back soon.
